Read that the big upset of GRAMMY night was my girl Esperanza Spalding beat Justin Beiber for the award for Best New Artist. (I am yet to watch the taped show on ole DVR). Frankly, not sure how either of them qualifies, they've both been out for at least a couple of years each. I need to read the GRAMMY rules. I often think that albums remain GRAMMY contenders years after I expect them to be ineligible.
Anyway, go Esperanza I own your album, not Justin's. Just a reminder of my superior musical taste!
Anyway, this all brings me to what I am grateful for and TOTALLY obsessed with, Esperanza's fro! Enjoy!
*Just watched the part of the GRAMMYS where the Best New Artist award was given out. What is wrong with people?!? I think that if Espy, as I like to call her, didn't win I think Florence and the Machine or Mumford and Sons would have probably won the award before Justin Beiber! These are the music academy voters we're talking about!
