I am grateful for my day in Princeton with Mandy and Angie. Beautiful, relaxing and caloric! It's making me want to apply for another graduate degree....

I am grateful that God allowed me to be born to Olubanke Yerokun. I can't believe she's been gone for a year.

I am grateful for my friend Wendy being born 42 years ago today. I'm also grateful that she could relate to my loss, as today was the 6th year anniversary of her father's funeral. Also incredibly touched by the memorial candle she gave me.

I am grateful for the INTEGRITY today and the knew term I have for something that's hard. Integrity isn't hard, it's blueberries!

I am grateful for my new NYC BFF Wilzette! Met her at the end of the first evening and she lives about a 3 minute walk from my friend Kiki's house - which is where I'm staying! I was able to have a buddy to travel to and from Brooklyn all weekend. What. Are. The. Chances. Of. That? Wow! Thank you God!

Grateful for a successful and super fun bridal shower for my girl Olenga!

Grateful for a SUPER fun roadtrip to Laurel MD for the 1st birthday of the child of an old friend I hadn't seen in at least 18 years! Fun reunion of Ibadan peeps! Great times! Wish it hadn't been so long.

Grateful that after a long and stiffling day at work, I was able to go to a devo and brief dance party with Christians! I love the disciples! The dance party played some of my jams too! Pretty Girl Rock, Firework etc. Good times.

Grateful for rockstar parking for my job interview at the AP right at 18th & Market. The job has tricky hours though. We shall see how this all plays out...

I am grateful for time with my girl Kiki in her cute Brooklyn apartment! We talked love, life, workouts, Paelo diets and even made some INCREDIBLE sugar-free Paleo Carot banana muffins! (Forgot to take a picture of them. Ate 'em!)

I am grateful for JournalismNext.com! It turned me on to job openings at AP and put ICFJ - the International Center for Journalists back on my radar! I am now looking for new fab jobs and applying for journalism fellowships. Yay!

I'm grateful for dark clouds, finally meeting with Dr. Schwartz (even though I'm allergic to ALL my fave foods; wheat, soy, oats, barley, peanuts, cow dairy, goat dairy, vinegar) but most grateful for dinner with my girlies!
